Delano Tigers head coach Merrill Pavlovich won his 300th career game Friday, Sept. 14, with a 41-10 victory over Glencoe-Silver Lake in an East Central-South Subdistrict game.
With the Week Three win, his career record stands at 300-141 in 44 seasons (1975 to 2018), all at Delano High School.
Pavlovich has led the Tigers to 10 state football tournament appearances, one Prep Bowl appearance (2003) and one state runner-up finish (2003 in Class 3A). He was inducted into the Minnesota Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2011.
Pavlovich is the sixth Minnesota high school football head coach to achieve 300 career wins. The others (through Sept. 14 games:
