High School Football: Ervasti leads top ranked Verndale to undefeated regular season

The Verndale Pirates put up their unbeaten record against Brandon-Evansville.

BRANDON — Gideon Ervasti rushed for 243 yards and three touchdowns on 43 carries as Nine-Man’s top ranked Verndale Pirates defeated the Brandon-Evansville Chargers 26-20 Wednesday, Oct. 20.

Ben Brownlow scored a touchdown and ran for 56 yards as Verndale finished the regular season with an undefeated 8-0 record.

The Pirates will receive a bye in the first round of their section playoffs and will play their first playoff game Saturday Oct. 30 at 2:00 in Verndale.
