SEBEKA — Gideon Ervasti piled up the statistics and helped the Verndale Pirates to a 52-6 District 9 West South Subdistrict blowout of the Sebeka Trojans Wednesday, Oct. 14.
Ervasti rushed 12 times for 179 yards and three touchdowns. He also recovered two fumbles to improve the Pirates to 2-0 overall.
Ervasti scored on runs of 3-, 9- and 57-yards. Zak Olsson, Hunter Schulke, Dilan Orlando and Corby Kern also scored rushing touchdowns.
Cal Olsson and Jeremy Haskin each had an interception as Verndale’s defense held Sebeka to 69 yards of total offense.
