CROSBY-Ben Edmundson caught a pass for a touchdown and ran for another for the Crosby-Ironton Rangers who lost 20-14 in double overtime to the Esko Eskomos Thursday, Oct. 11 in a Northeast Subdistrict game.
After Esko posted a 14-0 lead in the second quarter, Edmundson caught a 9-yard strike from Dakota Mitchell to close the gap to 14-6 at halftime.
Edmundson scampered into the end zone from five yards out in the third quarter and Mitchell connected with Matt Christopher for the conversion and tie.
Neither team scored in the first overtime. Esko scored first in the second OT, but missed the point after kick. C-I's possession ended with a fourth-down, dropped pass in the end zone.
Mitchell threw for 138 yards on 15-of-32 passing. Gabe Kramer rushed for 44 yards on two carries and caught three passes for 46 yards. Kramer and Taylor Eigenheer each had six solo tackles.
