ST. CLOUD-A two-point conversion run by Isaiah Sloan in overtime was the difference for the Little Falls Flyers who picked up their first win of the season, 28-26 over the St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders in an East Central North Subdistrict game Friday, Sept. 21.
With the score knotted 20-20 at the end of regulation, the Flyers had the first possession and scored on a 14-yard pass from Sloan to Luke Kush.
Cathedral scored on a 10-yard pass from Jack Pelzel in its ensuing possession, but the Crusaders' pass attempt for conversion failed.
Sloan, a senior running back, rushed 22 times for 93 yards and completed his only pass for the TD in overtime.
Little Falls opened the scoring on a 2-yard run by Sloan in the second before Cathedral took a 13-6 halftime lead on a pair of Pelzel TD passes.

The Flyers pulled within a point on the first play of the fourth quarter when they recovered a blocked punt in the end zone, but St. Cloud responded with another Pelzel strike. With 6:23 left, Austin Udy passed 20 yards to Sloan, who ran the conversion to tie the game.
Cathedral, which has yet to win a game, held a 252-187 advantage in total yards and 15-10 edge in first downs, but turned the ball over four times.
