High School Football: Gobblers stay perfect with win over Pine City

AITKIN--Owen Miller rushed for a 71-yard touchdown on the first play of the game, and the Aitkin Gobblers went on to a 24-12 win over Pine City in a Northeast Blue Subdistrict game Friday, Sept. 21, on homecoming night.

AITKIN-Owen Miller rushed for a 71-yard touchdown on the first play of the game, and the Aitkin Gobblers went on to a 24-12 win over Pine City in a Northeast Blue Subdistrict game Friday, Sept. 21, on homecoming night.

Jake Kukowski caught a 48-yard scoring pass from Quin Miller in the second quarter, and Jon Blanchette's 3-yard burst gave the Gobblers a 24-6 halftime lead.

With the win, Aitkin improved to 4-0.
