High School Football: Huskies rush past Pirates

CROOKSTON — Griffin Decker and Blake Clark each rushed for two touchdowns as Pillager defeated Crookston 30-6 in a non-subdistrict matchup Friday, Oct. 30.

Decker put Pillager on the scoreboard with a 55-yard dash with 9:42 left in the second quarter. Decker scored on a 1-yard plunge with just 50 seconds left in the half to give the Huskies a 16-0 halftime lead over the Pirates.

Crookston responded with a touchdown early in the third quarter, but one minute later Blake Clark ran for a 50-yard touchdown to give Pillager a 23-6 lead after three quarters. Clark capped off the scoring with a 3-yard burst in the fourth quarter for the final score.

Decker rushed for 127 yards on 15 carries. Clark rushed for 65 yards and threw for 22 yards.
