Quarterback Sam Miller threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns and Joe Klang rambled for 142 yards as the Brainerd Warriors posted a 35-21 homecoming victory before a capacity crowd at Adamson Field Saturday, Oct. 6.
Miller finished 12 of 17 (71 percent) and threw for second-quarter scores of 60 yards to Owen Davis and 21 yards to Pat Gervenak.
Gervenak totaled five catches for 77 yards including an acrobatic, one-handed, diving grab in the opening quarter. Davis added 74 yards on four receptions.
Klang ran 8 yards for Brainerd's opening score. Davon Stuckey, who rushed for 62 yards, ran for a 14-yard TD in the third and added a 1-yarder for Brainerd's final score in the fourth.
Becker's Justin Reichele opened the scoring with a 13-yard run in the first quarter. Nicholas Goth's 4-yard run in the second quarter gave the Bulldogs a 14-7 lead. Brainerd then hung up 28-straight points as it lifted its homecoming record in the 2000s to 17-2.

Brainerd finished with 366 total yards to the Bulldogs' 336.
Becker quarterback Josh Fobbe passed for 193 yards and a TD. Kevyn Vilayphanh was his top target with seven catches for 127 yards as the Bulldogs dropped to 2-4 overall.
Brainerd, 3-3 overall, hosts Moorhead (1-5) at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12.
