Dan Saehr was named the new head coach of the Pierz Pioneers at the football team's banquet Monday, Dec. 3.
Saehr, 34, was an assistant the last 17 years under head coach Leo Pohlkamp who announced his retirement after the 2018 season. Saehr, the team's defensive coordinator, will remain the Pioneers' head baseball coach.
