High School Football: Pierz sidelines Mainstreeters

SAUK CENTRE — Pierz’s Zach Jones recorded two touchdowns for the Pioneers and led in receiving with three catches for 92 yards as they defeated the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters 36-12 in a Section 6-3A matchup Friday, Oct. 23.

Michael Leidenfrost led in rushing with 18 runs for 113 yards and two touchdowns for the Pioneers.

Quarterback Noah Cekalla completed eight passes for 188 yards. Also with a touchdown for Pierz was Kirby Jones.
