High School Football: Pioneers hang on to top Tigers

The Pierz Pioneers traveled to Morris.

MORA — Trevor Radunz caught two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown and recovered a fumble as the Pierz Pioneers forced two red-zone turnovers late in the fourth quarter to defeat the Morris/Chokio-Alberta Tigers 25-22 Friday, Oct. 1.

Reese Young had 141 total yards and a touchdown and Zac Jones added 66 rushing yards for the Pioneers.

Linus Heidemann kicked two 26-yard field goals in the first half as Pierz improved to 4-1 on the season.
