High School Football: Pioneers win big with ground game

EDEN VALLEY-Reese Kapsner rushed for 121 yards on 15 carries with three scores as Class 3A's top-ranked Pierz Pioneers ran past Eden Valley-Watkins 46-0 in a Mid-State Subdistrict 1 game Friday, Sept. 28.

Kapsner scored on rushes of 4, 1, and 7 yards with two of those coming in the first half as the Pioneers built a 28-0 lead.

Luke Girtz also caught a 47-yard throw from Derek Schommer for a score. Carson Huls, Carter Moulzolf, and Noah Girtz also accumulated rushing touchdowns. Moulzolf also tallied 120 yards rushing.

The defense held EV-W to just 98 total yards for the game.
