High School Football: Ranked Barnesville gets better of S-M

Staples-Motley traveled to Barnesville for a non-subdistrict clash.

BARNESVILLE — Dayton Anderson hauled in a 61-yard touchdown pass from Isaiah Schultz for the Staples-Motley Cardinals lone score in a 42-7 loss to Class 2A’s ninth-ranked Barnesville Trojans Friday, Oct. 15.

The Trojans racked up 445 yards of offense on 60 plays. S-M ran 45 plays for 126 yards.

Schultz was 6-of-16 for 102 yards passing and led the Cardinals with 14 rushing yards.
