High School Football: S-M drops season finale to West Central

BARRETT — Chandler Braith returned a fourth-quarter interception 80 yards for a touchdown in the No. 5 Staples-Motley Cardinals 48-27 loss to the No. 1 West Central Knights in the Section 6-2A semifinals Friday, Nov. 20.

West Central racked up a 445-166 advantage in total offense and led 34-6 at halftime, the only Cardinals score came on a 2-yard run by Hunter Martin.

Quarterback Isaiah Schultz ran seven yards for a score in the third and tossed a 14-yard strike to Max Strickland in the fourth.
