PILLAGER-Jack Bentson ran for a pair of touchdowns leading the top-seeded Pillager Huskies to a 26-6 win over the No. 8 Staples-Motley Cardinals in the Section 6-2A quarterfinals Tuesday, Oct. 23.
Bentson's 1-yard blast in the opening quarter and a 16-yard run by Tucker Peterson put the Huskies up 14-0 at halftime.
An 11-yard run by Luke Woidyla and 24-yard scamper by Bentson made it 26-0 before Staples-Motley's Josh Lombard tossed a 23-yard TD strike to Matthew Fisher in the fourth quarter.
Peterson finished with 123 yards rushing on 17 carries for the Huskies who held a 253-104 advantage in total yardage.
Pillager, which beat the Cards 44-22 during the regular season, hosts Morris in the semifinals Saturday, Oct. 27. Morris beat West Central 11-8 Tuesday.
