High School Football: Verndale blanks CGB

CLINTON -- Zak Olsson and Jake Ismil each scored a pair of touchdowns for the Verndale Pirates, who defeated Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 28-0 in a Section 4 nine-man game Friday, Oct. 4.

Ismil scored on runs of 26 and 14 yards. Olsson caught a 10-yard scoring strike from Dilan Orlando and also returned an interception 28 yards for a touchdown.

Ismil racked up 106 yards rushing on 19 carries and Olsson finished with six receptions for 53 yards.

Verndale held a 285-96 yards advantage in total offensive yards.
