High School Football: Verndale rushes to easy win over Rothsay

The Verndale Pirates hosted the Rothsay Tigers.

VERNDALE — Gideon Ervasti rushed for 149 yards and four touchdowns and Verndale totaled 580 yards as they routed the Rothsay Tigers 76-12 Friday, Sept. 10.

Ben Brownlow hit 100 yards on the button and added two scores for the fifth-ranked nine-man team in the state.

Zak Olsson, Dilan Orlando and Blake Sumstad all had interceptions as Verndale held Rothsay to 179 yards.
