Brainerd High School linebacker Tristan Brecht was named to the Minnesota Football Coaches Association Class 5A Academic All-State Team.
Brecht made the All-North Central District and All-Section 8-5A teams, was an all-district scholar athlete and was Brainerd's defensive player of the year.
The senior led the Warriors in tackles with an average of 14.22 per game. He also recovered one fumble and blocked a punt.
