Area Girls Hockey: Lightning finish 1-2 at Schwan Cup

BLAINE—Alyssa Koslowski contributed a goal and assist for the Northern Lakes Lightning who were defeated 7-2 by the Owatonna Huskies on the final day of the Schwan Cup Open American Division Saturday at the National Sports Center.

The Lightning finished seventh in their division with a 1-2 record.

Northern Lakes traded goals with the Huskies in the first and third periods, but five unanswered Owatonna scores in the middle period was the difference.

Koslowski opened the scoring one minute into the game and assisted on a Hayden Boelter goal midway through the third stanza.

Owatonna outshot Northern Lakes 31-11 with Lightning goalie Maddie Wahoske registering 24 saves.
