Area Boys Hockey: W-DC lands loss on Flyers

WADENA—Colby Schertler, Lleyten Pettit and Max Phillips each scored twice for the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines who closed out their regular season with a 7-3 win over the Bagley/Fosston Flyers in a non-conference game Monday, Feb. 11.

Justin Dykhoff opened the scoring for the other W-DC goal. Pettit added four assists and Phillips had three to finish with six and five points respectively.

The Wolverines outshot Bagley 53-31 with W-DC goalie Josh Dykhoff recording 28 saves.

SARTELL—Little Falls goalie Dane Couture stopped 37 of the 39 shots he faced in the Flyers' 2-0 loss to the Sartell Sabres in a Section 6-1A matchup Monday, Feb. 11.

Little Falls is 5-4 against section opponents, 11-10 overall while Sartell is 5-1 in the section, 16-7 overall.
