Noah Anderson, 17, of Brainerd took home quadruple gold from the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Chicago Open April 2-3.
Anderson won gold in his weight class in Gi and in open weight Saturday. Sunday he won gold in NoGi in his weight division and in open weight. The event is the largest jiu-jitsu tournament in the Midwest.
"To be the best, you need to train with the best," Anderson said in a news release. "I am training with the best athletes in the state. My professors Damian Hirtz, Tim Blackstone and Brock Larson give me the mindset to believe in myself and the skill to achieve my jiu jitsu goals."
He trains and teaches jiu jitsu at Alliance Jiu Jitsu Edina and Performance Compound, St. Cloud.
His next tournament is the IBJJF World Jiu Jitsu tournament at Long Beach, Calif., June 1-5. Anderson is a world champion and 2-time national champion.
