Junior Hockey: North Stars nip Blizzard

BREEZY POINT--Josh Laven and Austin Langworthy scored power-play goals for Breezy Point as the North Stars nipped the Alexandria Blizzard 2-1 in a North American3 Hockey League game Saturday.

Laven scored at 9:19 of the first assisted by Andrew Heckaman and Tyler Larwood. Langworthy tallied at 18:17 of the second assisted by Larwood.

Wes Paupore recorded 43 saves for the Stars who were outshot 44-30.

Breezy Point (20-16-8) plays the Minnesota Flying Aces at Little Falls at 7:05 p.m. Friday.
