Junior Hockey: North Stars swept by Steel

WHITE BEAR LAKE - Ryan Mezera scored 1:04 into Saturday's contest with the Twin City Steel, but that was the lone highlight for the Breezy Point North Stars, who lost 2-1.

WHITE BEAR LAKE - Ryan Mezera scored 1:04 into Saturday's contest with the Twin City Steel, but that was the lone highlight for the Breezy Point North Stars, who lost 2-1.

A first period goal by Nicholas Campbell gave the Steel the lead for good. It followed a goal Kyle Wagner who assisted on the Campbell's goal.

Parker Butler made 37 saves for the Steel, whose defense denied four North Star power-play opportunities.

Joe Licata made 28 saves for the North Stars.
