Brainerd High School graduate Cole Smith of the Steinbach Pistons was named the Manitoba Junior Hockey League RBC Player of the Month for November.

The 20-year-old forward recorded 19 points (7 goals, 12 assists) in 13 games last month. His offensive showing in November topped all MJHL scorers.

Through 28 games this season, Smith has accumulated 12 goals and 29 points which rank him 14th in the league in scoring. Six of his goals have been scored on power plays.

The Pistons are in third place in the 11-team MJHL with a 19-7-2 record and 40 points. Steinbach plays the Virden Oil Capitals at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and play the Swan Valley Stampeders at 6 p.m. Sunday.
