THUNDER BAY, Ont.-Dryden GM Ice Dogs forward Eric Stout was named the Play It Again Sports Superior International Junior Hockey League player of the week ending Sept. 25.
In two games last week, the 18-year-old native of Brainerd made an immediate impact in his SIJHL debut for the GM Ice Dogs as he notched six goals helping Dryden skate to a pair of weekend victories.
Stout stole the show for his new club Friday as he scored four times, including the game-winner, as Dryden defeated English River 7-3.
Saturday he added two more goals in the GM Ice Dogs' 8-1 triumph over the expansion Thief River Falls Norskies.
Stout's early efforts have him leading the league in goals and also sharing the SIJHL lead in points with teammate Jacen Bracko with six each.
