HIBBING-Braydon Borg pitched a complete-game 3-hit shutout to lead the Nisswa American Legion team to a 4-0 victory over Hibbing Tuesday.
Borg walked only one and struck out five as Nisswa improved to 13-1.
Colin Kleffman led Nisswa at bat going 3-for-3 with a double. McCale Peterson wa 2-4 with a double. Connor Knettel and Bryce Flanagan each drove in two runs.

AITKIN-Alec Lochner and Lane Girtz combined on a 4-hitter as the Pierz American Legion team defeated Aitkin 18-2 in five innings Tuesday.
Lochner went four innings, allowing all four hits and two runs (1 earned) with four walks and two strikeouts. Girtz struck out two of the three batters he faced.
At the plate, Matt Kummet and Noah Boser each had two hits for Pierz. Matt Tautges, Kummet, Thomas Funk, Jack Siska and Terryl Scholl each drove in two runs. Scholl and Boser doubled.

Cold Spring 6, LF 5
Sam Himley went 2-for-4 with a run and two RBIs as Little Falls had its season-opening win streak stopped at seven games with a 6-5 loss to Cold Spring Tuesday.
Cold Spring capitalized on three Little Falls errors to score three unearned runs. Little Falls rallied to score two runs in the sixth and three in the seventh but could not pull out a victory.
Jake Kapphahn pitched 5.2 innings for Little Falls, giving up six runs (3 earned). Sam Himley pitched the last 1.1 innings.
