Legion Baseball: Brainerd falls in sub-state semis

Brainerd played Hermantown in the Sub-State 10 semifinals Saturday, July 24.

GRAND RAPIDS — Riley DeRosier finished 2-3 with a double and a run and Adam Jensen drove in two runs for the Brainerd Legion who finished their season with a 12-6 loss to Hermantown Saturday, July 24, in the Sub-State 10 semifinals.

Mason Argir and Jon Benson were both 1-3 with an RBI and a run scored for Brainerd.

Brainerd jumped out to 3-0 and 6-1 leads before Hermantown racked up eight runs in the fourth inning to advance to the championship game.

Brainerd finished the season with a 14-11 record.
