McCale Peterson and Hunter Wicklund both knocked out three hits to lead Brainerd to a 4-2 victory over Apple Valley Sunday in the championship game of the Brainerd Tournament.
Wicklund went 3-4 with two runs and a double and also pitched the victory. Wicklund allowed one run on five hits and no walks over four innings. He struck out two.
Sam Miller and Max Boran pitched the final three innings of relief.
Peterson was 3-4 with a run and a double. David Benson wsa 2-3 with an RBI and a run and Brady Anderson and Josh Hukriede each drove in a run.
Brainerd advanced to the title game by defeating Buffalo 5-3 Sunday. Peterson drove in three runs on 2-3 hitting that included a double.

Sam Miller was 2-3 with a run and Wicklund was 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
