DULUTH-Nisswa's three-run rally in the ninth inning came up a run short as Grand Rapids eliminated Nisswa 9-8 in Saturday's Substate 10, Division I playoffs.
McCale Peterson pitched five innings. He allowed six runs on nine hits and two walks. He struck out four.
Sam Miller allowed three runs on five hits. He walked two.
Nisswa's Connor Knettel was 3-4 with an RBI. Mac Brink finished 2-3 with an RBI. Bryce Flanagan went 2-4 with a double, two RBIs and Peterson was 2-3 with a double and RBI.
