NISSWA-Connor Knettel drove in the game-winning run and got the win as The Nisswa American Legion team shaded Big Lake 7-6 in nine innings Monday.

Nisswa scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings. Knettel singled with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth for the walk-off victory.

On the mound, Knettel threw five pitches and just two-thirds of an inning. He recorded two outs in a bases-loaded jam to get the win.

Colin Kleffman was 4-5 with a double and two RBIs and Bryce Flanagan finished 3-4 with a double and three RBIs.

Mac Brink started and worked seven innings, allowing nine hits and five runs (2 earned) with one walk and four strikeouts.

Austin Weisz fired a complete game and the Little Falls American Legion team improved to 7-0 with a 5-1 win over Waite Park Monday.

Weisz gave up one run on four hits while striking out four.

Dan Marod led the Little Falls offense going 3-for-4 with a triple, three stolen bases, an RBI and three runs scored. Brett Czajkowski was 2-4 with two RBIs.
