McCale Peterson's single in the bottom of the seventh lifted Nisswa past Becker 1-0 in an American Legion game Thursday at Adamson Field.
It was Nisswa's fifth walk-off victory of the season and pushed its record to 15-3-1 before competing in this weekend's 96-team Gopher Classic in the Twin Cities.
Nisswa collected three of its five hits in the seventh. Sam Miller led off the inning with a single, advanced to second on a swinging bunt by Mac Brink and scored on Peterson's hit. Peterson finished 2-for-3. Max Boran had the other hit for Nisswa.
Boran pitched the first three innings, allowing no hits and one walk with five strikeouts. Connor Knettel picked up the win, working the final four innings and allowing two hits and no walks with two strikeouts.

Pierz sweeps C-I
CROSBY-Preston Rocheleau went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs as the Pierz American Legion team defeated Crosby-Ironton 8-5 in Game One of a doubleheader Thursday.
Luke Girtz doubled and finished 2-4 with three runs and two RBIs. Thomas Funk also had two hits including a double. Reese Kapsner drove in two Pierz runs.
Alec Lochner pitched six innings to get the win. He allowed five hits and five runs (3 earned) with five walks and struck out 10. Jesse Marshik pitched the last inning allowing one walk with two strikeouts.
Thomas Funk allowed no hits in Game Two as Pierz won 7-0 in a contest shortened to three innings. Girtz, Jack Suska, Rocheleau, Reese Kapsner and Marshik had Pierz's hits.

Sauk Rapids 11, LF 10
Jake Kapphahn, Hunter Swanson and Shane Slettom each had three hits as the Little Falls American Legion team was nipped by Sauk Rapids 11-10 Thursday.
Kapphahn finished 3-for-4 with a run and RBI, Swanson was 3-3 with a run and Slettom 3-4 with an RBI.
Also for Little Falls, which lost despite 17 hits, Austin Weisz was 2-5 with two runs and two RBIs, AJ Jenks was 2-4 with a home run and two RBIs and Sam Himley was 2-3 with a run.
Kapphahn started and pitched 3.2 innings, giving up six runs, three earned, and striking out three. Himley pitched 1.2 innings giving up four runs. Weisz pitched a scoreless last inning.
