Men's Basketball: 6 teams alive in playoffs

Top-seeded Team Body Armor and second-seeded Moe's Contracting and Landscaping remain in the winners' bracket after playoff games in the Brainerd Lakes YMCA Men's Basketball League the week of March 20.

Body Armor defeated No. 4 Select Therapy 72-53 as Derek Orth scored 36 points and snared six rebounds and Daakarr Bellfield added 13 points and six rebounds. Top performers for Select were Jake Freeman with 17 points and four rebounds and Jesse Smithson 11 points and two rebounds.

Moe's defeated The Mambas 52-40 led by Mark Hoge with 28 points and seven rebounds and Jesse Peterson eight points and three rebounds. Leading The Mambas were Darsean Woodson with 14 points and two boards and Horace Wimberly 11 points and eight rebounds.

In other games, No. 5 WAC Transportation eliminated No. 11 Shep's 68-63 with Jon Hoffmann supplying 22 points and three rebounds and George Washington 20 points and five rebounds. Pacing Shep's were Cole Oswald with 28 points and seven rebounds and Jordan Hunstad 12 points.

No. 3 American Family Insurance eliminated No. (7) S&W Guide Service as Travis Dixon provided 18 points and three rebounds and Byron Ninham 17 points and two rebounds. Leading S&W were Josh Oseland with 15 points and four rebounds and Nate Carlson 11 points and four rebounds.
