Men's Basketball: CLC defeats St. Cloud Tech. in season opener

ST. CLOUD - The Central Lakes College Raiders, led by Jake Dryer with 17 points off the bench, and on the boards by Quentin Pearson with eight, defeated the St. Cloud Technical Cyclones 80-78 in the season opener for the Raiders.

Alex Koch finished in double figures with 13, and Eric West and Jerry Truss each recorded 10 in the win for CLC. The Raiders shot 47 percent from the field, and 47 percent from behind the three point arc. Darsean Woodson and Radamus Jones each dished out three assists.

"It was a great job of hustling for us being on the road," said head coach Jim Russell. "Dryer did a great job coming off the bench, and Quentin Pearson was tough on the boards. We are just learning how to play together and our roles, but the effort was great. We shot the ball decent and they were a good ball team playing in their third game."
