Men's Basketball: Moe's, All-State raise records to 6-0

Moe's Contracting and All-State Insurance remained unbeaten after six games in the Brainerd YMCA Men's League Jan. 29-30.
Moe's defeated BodyArmor 61-46 as Mark Hoge collected 36 points and 10 rebounds and Jesse Peterson 15 points and two rebounds. Leading BodyArmor were Anthony Kelley with 15 points and five rebounds and Chad Brever 13 points and two rebounds.

All-State defeated Select Therapy/Holst Construction 73-51. Topping All-State were Josh Oseland with 26 points and eight rebounds and Josh Oehrlein 16 points and 18 rebounds. Select/Holst was led by Chris Jansson 18 points and four rebounds and Jace Thompson nine points and two rebounds.

In other games, Justin, Clasen and Co. defeated Shep's 71-48. JCC was led by Freeman with 20 points and 15 rebounds and Connor Leagjeld 16 points and four rebounds. Shep's top performers were Cole Hunstad 13 points and five rebounds and Jordan Hunstad 12 points and four rebounds.

The Local 218 nipped Jim Christensen/Kurilla Real Estate 51-50 as Corey Maas supplied 12 points and five rebounds and Lars Ronnevik 10 points and seven rebounds. Christensen/Kurilla was led by Tommy Nicol with 20 points and seven rebounds and Jesse Seymour nine points and two rebounds.

Nisswa Marine defeated Holiday Inn Express 84-63. Nisswa Marine's Tim Johnson provided 22 points and two rebounds and Joel Martin 15 points and two rebounds. Holiday Inn's Riley Kline had 30 points and five rebounds and Connor Bowman 13 points and four rebounds.

Ninth St. Social Club defeated The Wolves 92-65. George Washington had 22 points and three rebounds for Ninth Street and Joe Sparks added 20 points and three rebounds. Pacing The Wolves were Micah McGaffey with 29 points and five rebounds and Hayden Brooks 15 points and eight rebounds.
