Second-seeded Moe's Contracting and Landscaping edged No. 1 Body Armor 52-50 to win the 2016-2017 YMCA Men's League Basketball Championship the week of April 3.
In the championship game, Moe's was led by Mark Hoge with 23 points and eight rebounds and James Fort 13 points and seven rebounds. Top performers for Body Armor were Derek Orth with 24 points and four rebounds and Daakarr Bellfield 12 points and nine rebounds.
In the elimination game earlier, Body Armor ousted fourth-seeded Select Therapy 58-46 as Derek Orth supplied 16 points and 10 rebounds and Chad Brever 16 points and two rebounds. Select Therapy was led by Jake Freeman with 14 points and eight rebounds and Jesse Smithson 12 points and three rebounds.
