MOORHEAD - The accolades for senior guard Jordan Riewer continue to pile up as he was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday.

It's the fourth time this season Riewer has taken home the award.

He was named player of the week Nov. 24 after being named MVP of the Alaska Invitational Dec. 22 after he averaged 23 points and 6.5 assists in wins over Northern State and Jamestown, and Feb. 2 after scoring 37 points in a win over Concordia-St. Paul.

Riewer averaged 19.0 points, 5.5 assists, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals over the weekend as No. 9 MSUM picked up home victories over Minnesota-Duluth and St. Cloud State, wrapping up the NSIC North Division in the process. Riewer shot 52.2 percent (12-of-23) from the field and 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from the 3-point line during the week.

The Staples native led the team in scoring with 18 points in the Dragons' 89-67 win over Minnesota Duluth on Friday. He was 5-of-11 from the field, 4-of-7 from the 3-point line, and 4-of-4 from the free throw line, grabbing three rebounds, dishing out three assists, and snagging two steals.

Riewer flirted with a triple-double Saturday night, scoring 20 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and handing out nine assists. The nine assists tied a career high, the third time this season he has reached that mark. The Dragons' point guard shot 7-of-12 from the field, 3-of-6 from the 3-point line, and 3-of-4 from the free throw line.

For the season, the senior is averaging 17.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. He has maintained his level of 50-50-90 shooting this season, going 51.8 percent from the field, 52.1 percent from the three-point line, and 94.3 percent from the free throw line.

Riewer ranks seventh in conference in scoring (17.1 ppg), third in assists (5.5 apg), first in free throw percentage (94.3), third in three-point field goal percentage (52.1), first in 3-pointers made per game (2.9), and first in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.8).

He has helped MSUM already lock down the most wins in a season in school history (27), passing the old mark of 24 set in 1970-71 and 1981-82. The Dragons have been ranked in the top 10 in the NABC Division II poll for four straight weeks and will all but certainly remain in the top 10 when the next poll is released Tuesday.

MSUM is 27-2 overall, 18-2 in the NSIC. MSUM is 14-0 at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse this season. The Dragons play at Bemidji State at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20.
