Radamus Jones continued his hot shooting, finishing with 24 points, as the Central Lakes College Raiders won their sixth-straight game with a 95-78 win over Fergus Falls Friday in the opening day of the CLC Winter Invitational.

The Raiders also received 15 points from Trey Heinsius and scoring from 10 other players. They tallied 56 points in the second half after leading 39-36 at halftime.

"They came in with a lot of energy and we were a little slow," said Raiders head coach Jim Russell. "We picked up the tempo as the half went on and we were happy being up by three at half. We took control in the first five minutes of the second half."

It was the second meeting between the two teams with the Raiders winning both games against the Spartans, who are coached by former Raiders 2009 All-American C.J. Peeters.

Peeters did win the ugly sweater contest that he initiated with Russell prior to the game.

"He texted me and asked me to do an ugly sweater contest, but I didn't have one so I just wore a tie," said Russell. "He is doing a great job with his kids. As he gets the program going they are going to be very successful."
