Men's College Basketball: Dragons capture share of NSIC regular-season title

CROOKSTON - The Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball team earned a share of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference regular-season championship with a 66-44 win over Minnesota Crookston on Saturday.

CROOKSTON - The Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball team earned a share of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference regular-season championship with a 66-44 win over Minnesota Crookston on Saturday.

Senior guard Jordan Riewer of Staples led the Dragons with five assists and scored 13 points.

On Friday, Riewer scored 18 points and doled out seven assists as MSUM trampled Bemidji State 99-61.

Augustana lost at Winona State on Saturday, giving the Dragons and Augustana equal conference records at 20-2.

Saturday's win gave the Dragons an overall record of 29-2, the most regular-season wins of any team in Dragons history.

The Dragons will host Wayne State at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the first round of the NSIC Tournament.
