An already historic season continued Tuesday for senior guard Jordan Riewer of the Minnesota State University Moorhead men's basketball team when he was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II All-America team.
The award was the second All-America award in as many days for Riewer, who was named to the Daktronics All-America third team Monday. He was also named to the Basketball Times All-America second team last week.
Riewer and MSUM (35-3) will play in their first-ever NCAA Division II Elite 8 game at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday against Bellarmine (30-3) at Evansville, Ind. The Dragons have already won a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division title, a NSIC regular-season title, and an NCAA Central Region Championship this season.
The 6-foot-2 guard leads all players in Division II in free-throw percentage (94.8), is third in assist to turnover ratio (3.41), third in three-point percentage (49.8), fourth in assists (215), and 10th in total three-pointers made (100).
Riewer holds career assist and three-pointers made records at MSUM with 464 and 225, respectively, as well as the single-season assist record (215).
