ANOKA - The Central Lakes College Raiders brought a successful season to a close with a 78-70 win over Vermilion in the third place game of the MCAC/Region 13 Tournament Sunday.

The Raiders, seeded No. 2 in the North, and the No. 3 seeded Ironmen had split their games this season in division play.

In his final game with CLC, Lamontrell Fuller tied Keonte Jenkins with a team-high 17 points. Jacob Russell contributed 13 points as the Raiders shot 38 percent from the field, but just 13 percent from behind the arc.

The Raiders were stingy on defense allowing 40 percent shooting from the field to the Ironmen, but just 13 percent from behind the three-point line.

The Raiders were in the third place game as a result of a 30-point loss to Southern Division No. 1 seed Anoka-Ramsey on Saturday afternoon. The Rams entered the tournament ranked No. 2 nationally and they got out to a fast start against the Raiders, who may have been emotionally worn out after their double-overtime win against St. Cloud Technical College the night before. Anoka-Ramsey led by 20 at the half.
