MOORHEAD - For the fifth time this season, senior guard Jordan Riewer was recognized by the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference as NSIC North Division Player of the Week on Monday.
He averaged 15.5 points, 6.0 assists, and 4.5 rebounds, over the weekend as No. 8 MSUM defeated Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston on the road. Riewer shot 63.2 percent (12-of-19) from the field and 58.3 percent (7-of-12) from the 3-point line over the week.
The Staples-Motley graduate scored 18 points, grabbed three rebounds and dished out seven assists in the win over Bemidji State. Riewer was 3-of-5 from the 3-point line and 7-of-10 from the field. The 6-foot-2 guard scored 13 points, had six rebounds, five assists, and one block in the win over Minnesota Crookston.
For the season, the senior is averaging 17.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game and leads the Dragons in each of those categories.
Riewer has maintained his level of 50-50-90 shooting this season, going 52.5 percent from the field, 52.6 percent from the 3-point line, and 94.3 percent from the free throw line. He ranks sixth in the conference in scoring (17.0 ppg), third in assists (5.5 apg), first in free throw percentage (94.3), second in three-point field goal percentage (52.1), first in three-pointers made per game (3.0), and first in assist-to-turnover ratio (4.1).

He has solidified himself in Dragon history, breaking numerous records and reaching multiple milestones. The 6-foot-2 guard reached 1,000 points in the Jan. 2 win over Upper Iowa. He has 528 points this season and 1,277 on his career.
The next night, Riewer passed Ralph Western as the school's all-time leader in assists. He now has 420 assists in his career. Riewer became the school's leader for most 3-pointers made in the win over Minnesota Duluth on Feb. 13. Riewer has now made 217 threes in his career.
Most recently, Riewer broke Darryl Greene's 1992-93 single season assists mark of 163 over the weekend, posting 171 so far this year.
The senior leader has helped the MSUM already lock down the most wins in a season in school history (29), passing the previous mark of 24 set in 1970-71 and 1981-82. MSUM earned a share of the NSIC regular-season championship over the weekend after its two victories and a loss from Augustana. Both teams ended the regular season with conference records of 20-2.
The Dragons host Wayne State at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the first round of the NSIC Tournament.
