Men's College Hockey: Bowling Green splits with Anchorage

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Brainerd's Matt Pohlkamp scored his eighth goal of the season as the 11th-ranked Bowling Green State University Falcons lost to Alaska Anchorage 6-1 Saturday.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Brainerd's Matt Pohlkamp scored his eighth goal of the season as the 11th-ranked Bowling Green State University Falcons lost to Alaska Anchorage 6-1 Saturday.

Bowling Green fell to 19-10-5 overall and was thwarted in its first attempt at a 20-win season. The Falcons will close the regular season at home Friday and Saturday against Alabama Huntsville.

On Friday, Brainerd's Mitch McLain collected an assist as the Falcons defeated Anchorage 4-3. The win clinches home ice for Bowling Green in the first round of the WCHA Tournament and the No. 3 seed.

Through 34 games, Pohlkamp is the Falcons' second-leading scorer with eight goals and 15 assists for 23 points. McLain has scored seven goals and added nine assists.
