BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Brainerd's Matt Pohlkamp collected an assist as the eighth-ranked Bowling Green State University Falcons completed a weekend sweep of defending WCHA regular-season champion Ferris State by scoring twice in the third period for a 3-2 victory Saturday night.
Dan DeSalvo, Ben Murphy and Pierre-Luc Mercier scored for the Falcons who improved to 17-6-5 overall, 13-4-3 in the WCHA. Ferris State falls to 11-17-1 overall and 8-12-0 in the conference.
On Friday, Ben Murphy and Kevin Dufour scored as BGSU defeated Ferris State 2-1.
