MANKATO-Mitch McLain collected two points as the Bowling Green State University Falcons split with Minnesota State Mankato Mavericks at the Verizon Wireless Center last weekend.
Saturday, McLain collected a first-period assist during a 5-3 loss to the Mavericks. The junior from Baxter extended his point streak to six games.
Pohlkamp, a senior, one-timed a rebound for the Baxter resident's first goal since Dec. 17 at Alaska and his eighth of the season.
Friday, McLain gave Bowling Green a dramatic 3-2 victory when he scored 3:55 into overtime. It was his team-leading 15th goal of the season and his third game-winning goal in the last six games.
The Falcons (12-13-2 overall, 10-9-1 WCHA) remained tied with the Mavericks for third place in the WCHA after the split. Minnesota State is 14-8-2 overall, 10-6-2 in the WCHA.
