MARQUETTE, Mich.-Brainerd grad Mitch McLain scored two goals as the Bowling Green State University Falcons dropped a weekend series against Northern Michigan.
McLain scored in the Falcons' 3-2 defeat Saturday.
McLain scored for the third game in a row and is on a five-game point streak, a stretch in which he has accrued seven points. He has scored a team-high 12 goals. The Baxter native also assisted on the Falcons' other goal for his fourth multi-point night of the season.
He also scored in Friday's 5-2 loss and registered a team-high five shots.
BGSU (12-8-6 overall, 9-4-5 WCHA) return home next weekend as it hosts Alaska Anchorage in another WCHA series.
