Three members of the Bowling Green State University hockey team from Baxter were honored by the Western Collegiate Hockey Association Thursday.
Junior forward Mitch McLain was named All-WCHA First Team after accumulating a team-leading 32 points through 37 games.
WCHA All-Academic honors went to Matt Pohlkamp (third time), McLain (second time) and Chris Pohlkamp (first time). Players named to the academic team must maintain a grade-point average of at least 3.00 for the previous two semesters.
Bowling Green plays in the WCHA Playoffs this weekend at Bemidji State University Friday, March 10, through Sunday, March 12, in a best-of-three semifinal round.
