Brainerd High School graduate Josh Archibald, winger for the 2017 Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins, will be in Brainerd Wednesday, Aug. 30, to greet friends, family and fans.
Archibald and the Stanley Cup will be at Takedown Gym on Highway 371, north of Brainerd, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for photos and to meet with fans.

The event is open to the public. The first 400 people in the door will receive an autographed photo of Archibald.
A 2011 BHS grad, Archibald chose to have the Cup on display at Takedown Gym after having trained through high school with Takedown manager Joe Ciardelli. Archibald was the gym's first official member.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Archibald earned a day with the Cup after playing in Game Four of the Stanley Cup Final against the Nashville Predators.

In 10 regular-season games with Pittsburgh this past season, he totalled three goals, two in one game.

Before call-ups to the NHL this season, Archibald appeared in 61 regular-season games at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League where he accumulated 15 goals and 13 assists and WBS won its division.
