FERGUS FALLS — Nole Robertson clocked a fifth-place 15:27 to lead the Brainerd Warriors boys to second place Thursday, Dec. 19, at the Fergus Falls Invite.
The Brainerd girls placed third with Gina Wasniewski placing sixth and Emma Storbakken seventh. Sarah Nesheim also landed in the top 10 with a 10th-place time of 18:46. The Warrior girls were without Lily Schaeffer and Elle Juranek who were sick.
“We were finally on a very hilly course,” said Warrior co-head coach Mary Clare Ryan. “Our last two races were very flat so this was a much better indicator of how we’re doing.
“For the kids that were here today, it was much better racing conditions. It wasn’t as cold. The snow was fast. There were big hills.”
Atticus Osborne posted an eighth-place time of 15:51 and Ryan Cady finished ninth in 15:53 for the Brainerd boys.
