ST. CLOUD-Evan Storbakken finished second and Grace Erholtz fifth leading the Brainerd Warriors to second-place team finishes in the boys and girls races of the Sartell/St. Cloud Cathedral Invite at Riverside Park Thursday, Dec. 6.
Brainerd and Little Falls boys teams tied with 38 points behind Sartell/Cathedral, but the Warriors were awarded second by tiebreaker.
Maxim Osborne was 10th for the boys and Ben Renner finished 11th in the Warriors' first meet of the season.
Joining Erholtz in the top 10 for the girls were Lili Schaefer (8th), Emma Storbakken (9th) and Gina Wasniewski (10th).
"We were quite happy with our first race," said Brainerd co-head coach Mary Claire Ryan. "It was a shorter 3K course with a mass start in a small area so some of the skiers got tangled up at the start."

The Little Falls boys were led by Jackson Grant and Colton Yorek who finished in the top 10 and the sixth-place Flyer girls were paced by Katie Corbett.
