BRAINERD — The 48th annual Lumberjack Jaunt is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 30 at the Brainerd Northland Arboretum.
One of the oldest ski races in Minnesota and hosted by the Brainerd Nordic Ski Club, the Lumberjack Jaunt features skate and classic races at distances of 6-kilometers up to 16-kilometers.
Registration and bib pick-up will begin at 9 a.m. followed by the free fun races for kids ages 4-12 at 11 a.m. Racing will start at noon with the classic skiers followed at 12:10 p.m. by the freestyle racers.
Lunch is provided after the race and is included in the entry fee. There is a reduced registration fee for skiers 18 and under. More race information and registration can be found at www.brainerdnordicskiclub.com .
There will be free kids races with age-appropriate distances up to 2-kilometers. All skiers of all abilities are encouraged to participate.
